PREPARACIÓN

El jarabe de maíz cumple distintas funciones en distintos tipos de recetas. Controla la cristalización del azúcar en los dulces, evita la formación de cristales de hielo en los postres congelados, realza el sabor de la fruta fresca en mermeladas y conservas, endulza y espesa los condimentos y chutneys. El jarabe de maíz equilibra los perfiles de sabor agridulce y, por lo tanto, es un ingrediente clave en muchos platos asiáticos. Cuando se aplica con un pincel sobre jamón horneado, carnes a la parrilla o verduras al horno, el jarabe de maíz es un glaseado ideal. En los productos horneados, el jarabe de maíz retiene la humedad y conserva la frescura durante más tiempo. Los jarabes de maíz Crown® Lily White® y Crown® Golden Corn® funcionan de manera similar en las recetas y, por lo general, se pueden usar indistintamente.
